Centenary Texas Scamble, Saturday 25th May

It is open to Ladies, Gents, Seniors to Juniors, all categories ie 7, 6 and 5 day members. We want a full entry for this competitive but fun Scramble which has been dubbed "The Greenkeepers' Revenge". The pin positions will be chosen by our Greenkeepers aided and abetted by Rob our Captain. We may look forward to a few tricky or even challenging approaches and putts. Some of the tees may also be a little different but basically the yellow and red tees. The course will be fun but not silly or impossible.

Everyone whatever their ability will have a chance of a prize. As well as the usual vouchers for the first few teams there will be the 1919 prizes. 1919 was of course the year our club was founded. So for each member of the teams coming 1st, 9th and 19th there will be a bottle of wine. Not just any wine but an excellent Portuguese red from the Lisbon region. The 12 bottles have been donated.

Enter as usual through Club V1, tee times available from 07.20 to 12.26. You don't need to have a team of four to enter. Just enter. We can have teams of Ladies, of Men or Mixed as you wish. Could be a chance to meet and play with new friends.

Remember golf is fun, our Club is fun and Greenkeepers' Revenge or not, this Scramble will be fun.
